2-Component Epoxy Coatings
EPOXY PRIMERS:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
10 Series VOC compliant, low temperature cure (below freezing) epoxy primers for use as equipment maintenance or encapsulation coatings in areas where moderate to severe corrosion may occur. Also available in a zinc filled version where cathodic protection of steel substrates in corrosive areas is needed.

SERIES DESCRIPTION
12 Series Highly filled epoxy grouts, crack fillers, mortar, and surfacers for concrete and masonry repair in areas subject to corrosive conditions. Low viscosity, unfilled systems used to penetrate & stabilize rusty surfaces.

EPOXIES, DIRECT-TO-METAL and TOPCOATS:
11 Series Low VOC amine-cured epoxy phenol novolac systems that provide superior protection for extremely hostile environments where abrasion, chemicals, and heat are present. Linings for tanks.

13 Series Higher Solids, faster dry version of the 10 series. Can be used as a primer, midcoat or topcoat.

14 Series
Very high solids, slow drying, epoxy mastics with excellent film build & chemical resistance, for use on marginally prepared substrates. Very high solids chemically resistant exterior railcar coatings.

15 Series VOC compliant low temperature cure epoxy topcoats for use over primers where moderate to severe corrosion may occur. Exhibit low toxicity and rapid cure in low temperatures and humid conditions.

16 Series Similiar to 15-Series topcoats, but formulated with special non-yellowing components and better color retention, sacrificing the low temperature cure for use in lighter colors.

17 Series Specialty epoxy coatings...your specification!

18 Series 0 VOC epoxy linings . Chemical Resistant high build applications. Suitable for immersion service. 100% NV adhesives for clay or terracotta pipe.

19 Series Single component air drying epoxy ester coatings for multiple uses. Available in colors or zinc filled systems for use over galvanized steel and as a low burnback weldable primer.

Water Based Coatings
WATER BASED PRIMERS:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
20 Series Acrylic emulsion primers and low gloss topcoats for use over steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. Top quality, heavy duty, high performance primers for multiple uses. Marking paints, wood, drywall & stain blocking primers.

20 Zero VOC Series Similiar to 20-Series, but contains NO volatile organic content.

21 Series Acrylic emulsion masonry block filler, for interior and exterior use. High build, alkalie resistant coating for filling of small voids in brick, joints, and concrete block.

26 Series
Water reducible alkyd, phenolic modified alkyd (universal primers) or epoxy ester primers for general shop use. Suitable for machinery, equipment, and as a primer over existing coatings. Epoxy ester versions are more weldable. May also be used as a low gloss topcoat.

27 Series Fire resistant primers. Electrical resistant with low water vapor transmission rates. Highly chemical resistant "UNIVERSAL" primers made from Polyvinylidene Dichloride (PVDC). Limited colors & shelf life.

WATER BASED DIRECT-TO-METAL and TOPCOATS:
22 Series 2-Component water based epoxies for HEAVY DUTY protection of steel and masonry in a wide variety of corrosive environments. Linings containing fluoropolymers for FDA use & superior unloading properties. Linings for concrete pipe protection for immersion service for acidic sewer conditions. Primers & topcoats.

23 Series Self-crosslinking acrylic emulsions for sealing or topcoating concrete & asphalt. Crosslinking improves chemical resistance & hardness compared to typical acrylic emulsions.Can be used as a more chemical resistant topcoat over 20 series primers or epoxies.

24 Series
Acrylic emulsion railcar direct-to-metals or topcoats for spray application over steel galvanized steel, and aluminum. Long service life, top quality, heavy duty, high build, high performance topcoats for multiple uses.

24 Zero VOC Series Similair to 24-Series, but contains NO volatile organic content.

25 Series
Heavy duty acrylic emulsion topcoats similiar to 24-Series but used over 20 Series primers, high build versions are available to replace Zinc Rich Tower Paints. Expected service life of 10-15 years or more!

28 Series
Economical water reducible alkyds for spray or dip tank use. General utility, machinery, and equipment enamels with good gloss and exterior weathering properties. Silicone alkyds for superior properties.

Solvent Based Alkyds
ALKYD PRIMERS:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
30 Series A full line of standard solvent-based alkyd primers is available and used throughout the industry; primarily over steel substrates. Primers are available in spray, brush, or dip tank formulations in red and yellow oxide, various grays, green, black and other colors:

  • Standard solids, rust inhibiting primers for general shop and maintenance use. Very easy to apply and forgiving of marginally prepared surfaces. Topcoat with standard alkyds.
  • High solids, rust inhibiting primers for VOC compliant applications. Available in standard alkyd & silicone-modified alkyd formulations for specialty applications. Topcoat with standard alkyds.
  • Zinc rich formulations for heavy duty cathodic protection of steel. May be used as a primer or topcoat on electrical towers. Available in standard or universal type alkyd vehicles.
  • Universal rust inhibiting primers for overcoating with aggresive solvent-containing topcoats such as epoxies and urethanes. Good general use primer for many purposes.
  • Heat resisting primers, available in standard alkyd vehicle up to 400 deg.F or silicone alkyd vehicles to 550 deg F. For higher heat applications (see 70-Series).

31 & 33 Series Reserved for future use
32 Series
Top quality, single component, air drying, VOC compliant silicone-modified alkyd for excellent gloss retention, heat resistance and exterior weathering characteristics. Use over primer or direct-to-metal as a brushing or spraying topcoat.

31 Series Economical fast drying VOC compliant paint for interior use only. These low & semi-gloss enamels are generally used to spruce up drab interiors. For spray application only. Overspray can be swept up if allowed to fall 10ft.

34 Series High quality VOC compliant, modified-alkyd DTM paints with good exterior gloss retention and fast dry time. Generally used as high-build, direct-to-metal spray paints.

35 Series Good quality fast dry conventional solids spray paints. These enamels exhibit good exterior weathering properties, and ease of use for a wide variety of applications. NOT VOC compliant. See 34 Series for compliant products.

36 Series Economical general purpose industrial enamels(2-4 hr dry). These medium oil alkyds have high gloss and good application properties. For use as interior/exterior utility and machinery enamels.

37 Series Economical general purpose long oil brushing paints for metal or wood surfaces. These full gloss maintenance enamels have low VOC and can be used over primed or painted surfaces.

38 Series Top quality VOC compliant, acrylic modified-alkyd DTM paints with excellent exterior gloss retention and fast dry time. Generally used as an automotive type refinish enamel

96 Series Very fast drying conventional solids lacquers, NOT VOC COMPLIANT, ask for 91 SERIES if interested in a 0 VOC or low VOC version (under development).
Vinyl and Asphaltic Coatings
VINYLS:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
45 Series Standard vinyl topcoats. EXCELLENT water and acid resistance. Meets corp of engineers specs for locks and dams. Can NOW be formulated into VOC compliant versions by using exempt solvents.

ASPHALTICS:
50 Series Asphaltic varnishes. These products are used for acid and water resistant enamels, Mil-Spec concrete finishes, and varnishes with special electrical properties.

51 Series Low cost, air-drying, water-based asphalt emulsion paint.Recommended for damp-prooffing above or below grade masonry, and as a vapor retardent or as a replacement for solvent based roof coatings. Applied film is breathable.

55 Series Asphaltic/Gilsonite coatings used for lath, spring, radiator refinishing and metal coatings, and low temperature resistant paints.

59 Series Joint compounds for concrete pipe or trowelable roof coatings, other specialty and custom products.

Urethane Coatings
2-COMPONENT URETHANE PRIMERS AND TOPCOATS:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
60 Series Low VOC urethane primers & basecoats.

UV resistance DTM or topcoats:
65 Series VOC compliant acrylic polyurethane topcoats with high gloss, chemical and UV resistantance. For use in severe exposures such as industrial, chemical, or marine.

66 Series

Polyester or VOC compliant polyester/acrylic hybrid polyurethane topcoats with good gloss retention , exceptional flexibility & impact resistance and very good chemical resistance in medium-to-severely corrosive environments. Specialized Direct to Galvanized metal Systems. Fluoropolymer anti-graffitti coatings.

68 Series VOC compliant acrylic polyurethane topcoats with high gloss, chemical and UV resistantance. Custom formulated for your use in severe exposures such as industrial, chemical, or marine.

AIR DRYING 1-COMPONENT URETHANES:
67 Series Urethane-modified drying oils with good abrasion and alkali resistance. Used for economical floor and deck finishes or fast dry maintainence enamels.

69 Series Water based,one & two component, chemical and UV resistatant DTM sytems or topcoats. Environmentally friendly Anti-Graffitti coatings.

SILICONES:
SERIES DESCRIPTION
70 Series Economical silicone resin and silicone-modified alkyd blended vehicles for use over steel exposed to temperatures in the 450-800 degree F. range. See 99-12886 for heat resistant Inorganic zinc rich primer.

71 Series Water Repellants. These silicone and siloxane masonry sealers protect brick, concrete, and mortar joints from freeze-thaw damage. Available in solvent and water base.

75 Series Pure silicone resin and inert pigments make heat resisting thermally shock resistant paints the ability to protect steel at cycling temperatures up to 1200 degrees F.

EPOXY FLOOR COATINGS:
Pruett-Schaffer's three part epoxy floor coating system can be used over new floors to enhance the beauty of lobbies and other heavy traffic areas, on industrial floors to protect against wear and corrosives, or on damaged floors to restore their structural integrity and functionality at a fraction of the cost of concrete slab replacement.

12 Series REPAIR COMPOUND: Use #12-3 sealer or #12-4 coarse Epoxy Floor Crack Fillers to prepare damaged floors for coating with 80-Series products.

80 Series
PRIMER: A top quality zero-VOC 2-component phenalkamine-cured epoxy primer that provides an excellent basecoat for 84-Series Epoxy Floor Midcoats. It is ceramic filled for extreme toughness and chemical resistance, and will bond tightly to steel, concrete, and epoxy repair compounds. Easy to apply with rollers or flat squeegees.

84 Series MIDCOAT: This zero-VOC polyamido amine/cycloaliphatic-cured epoxy 2-component system provides state of the art protection against concrete-damaging exposure to acids, alkalies, oil, fuel, salt, and solvents for manufacturing floors, secondary containment areas, etc. With the optional vinyl texturing chips, a beautiful granite-like appearance can enhance the beauty of lobbies.

85 Series CLEAR TOPCOAT: Optional for use over 84-Series Epoxy Midcoats unless using vinyl chips, this zero-VOC cycloaliphatic amine-cured epoxy offers the maximum in toughness and chemical resistance in a non-yellowing, beautiful glasslike topcoat. Self leveling application.
